It's Sunday now. ValenTIMES is officially over. Sa wakas!
Valentine's was a dress down day in the office. Dress down day is a shirt, jeans and rubber shoes-day for almost everyone. I have already made the mistake of going against the convention after I was made to go down the 19 flights of steps in the fire exit on an unannounced fire drill. My feet did not hurt a bit from my 3-inch pumps but the thing is, it's super hard to go down quickly with those shoes. But anyway, I did not want to be in rubber shoes on V-Day. No way!
So I made a statement without having to risk making the same mistake again. I wore black and greeted everyone "have a clear black Valentine." Haha! I also wore my ethnic-inspired printed skirt and tons of gold accessories--pati my footwear.
I skipped a CSRI event with CSR expert Jim Bendell because I was rushing some things and did not want to be late. But I did make it to the LCF GA where my daldal skills started working again up to the time I visited our Accounting head after.
I went back to my office to work on some stuff. I was totally oblivious of what went on outside of my cubicleso when it was time for me to get ready since my sundo's arriving, I realized that the office was super nearly empty and that half of the office was already dark. Apparently, everyone went home early for Valentine's. Even those who'd usually go OT left early. Yay! I even thought I was lucky to have a karamay but no! Her date was waiting for her pala.
So basically, it was just me who was dateess and working on Valentine's night. Sadness...
But masaya naman and I am not complaining. I bought bouquets of red roses and chocolates from the Supcom sale so I had something to give to my mom, tita, sister and of course, pati kay Krissy. Krissy was happy and I think it already gave her a faint idea of what Valentine's is supposed to be. That's what's important naman.
Anyway, I think I should have worn this David & Goliath shirt on that day. This would have surely made THE statement.
